I am very much delighted to be given the opportunity to work as a PR Ambassador for the 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games. I’ve visited Hokkaido many times and it is my favorite place in Japan. In my role as a PR Ambassador for the Games, I will make every effort possible to let people know what Hokkaido, where the Games will be held, has to offer and how wonderful winter sports are.

SNOW MIKU(HATSUNE MIKU)

yukimiku Part1

Profile

“SNOW MIKU” is the character who enlivens the wintery Hokkaido. The design is based on “a pure white snow sculpture of ‘Hatsune Miku,'” that was created for “Sapporo Snow Festival 2010.” Since then, a “SNOW MIKU” festival using “SNOW MIKU” as a main character has been held in Hokkaido every year. The costume design for “SNOW MIKU” is selected in an online competition on different themes every year, and as for 2016, the theme is “the winter sports you can enjoy in Hokkaido.” “SNOW MIKU” will liven up Hokkaido this winter, together with all of you creators, as it has done for several years!
