Competition Highlights

Two teams of players try to score points by sliding granite stones (with a handle on top) on a sheet of ice towards the “house” (a set of circles). Popular with all ages, curling is often called “chess on ice.” It’s a profound sport in which curlers employ strategies and tactics to ensure that their stones will slide slowly but precisely towards the target area. A game can be as long as two and a half hours. Curling is a fascinating sport that engages the attention of spectators and draws them into the game.
