The 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games will be held over an 8-day period from 19 to 26 February 2017. The games will feature five sports: skiing (ski jumping, cross country, alpine, freestyle and snowboard), skating (speed skating, short track and figure skating), ice hockey, curling and biathlon. SAWGOC is expecting the games to be the biggest ever in terms of the number of participants, with around 1,500 athletes from 30 NOCs taking part.
